Dear Friends and Community Members,

I will run for re-election in 2012 as I greatly appreciate the opportunity to serve as one of your City Council members.

I know challenges continue to lie ahead even as we have tackled some in the past.  But with challenges can also come continued successes.  Currently, economic times are difficult, and we must, more than ever, do our purchasing in our own city to keep our tax dollars here and provide job opportunities for our residents.  Every purchase made in Corona allows a portion of the sales tax to remain in our city to help pay for public safety, road improvements and helps in supporting our parks department and library.

My commitment to our City continues strong, and I remain focused on keeping our City the best it can be even during these tougher times.

The following remain my focus for our city.

• Quality of Life - Keeping Corona the beautiful city we enjoy.  Each day making every aspect better while remembering it's about us and helping to make our lives of the highest quality.
  
• Public Safety - Keeping our Fire and Police departments strong and ready and our schools safe
   
• Financial Stability - Ensuring that everything is done to keep our City operating and sound financially.  The decisions are not easy, but they are critically important.
   
• Quality of Service  - Promoting and providing quality service to our current businesses and those interested in establishing or moving to Corona.  Our Economic Development and Community Development teams are here to serve.
   
• Traffic and Transportation Facilities - Improving the flow of traffic throughout our city with a new Automatic Traffic Management System and expand the transportation facilities for getting to and riding the Metrolink, RTA and Corona Cruiser.
   
• Medical Facilities & Business - Keeping a focus on the need for expanded medical facilities for our community.  Additionally, maintaining the City's focus on helping our current businesses by providing what they need and attracting new business to foster jobs and help our local economy.
   
• Downtown Redevelopment - As time allows and opportunities come, select the right project to enliven the downtown (Main and Sixth Street) and North Main Street areas into vibrant places with shops, businesses, transportation links and places for friends and family to meet for coffee, lunch or dinner.
